Below are 12 photos from our first assignment and the terms they correspond with.
1. Texture: Woven Blanket
Shot with a small aperture for a shallow depth of field and focus on the individual threads.

2. Wide Shot, Front Porch
Shot with a wide-angle lens to distort the lines of the railing and porch.

3. Extreme Wide Shot, Dining Room
Shot with a wide-angle lens to capture the entire room in one frame.

4. Low Angle, Lamp Light
Shot from the ground up to find a point of view of a lamp that is less commonly seen.

5. Symmetry, Window Shutters
The shutters are equally divided into four parts with equal horizontal and verticals in each respective quadrant.

6. Reflection, Outside Room
The reflection of a lamp and painting in a window facing the outdoors creates a parallel reality where traditional household furniture is placed out outside in the snow.

7. Close Up, Flower
An untraditional flower, both in color and texture, captured close enough to see every part.

8. Extreme Close Up, Glass Tree
Shot from the top of a glass cone-shaped tree with a very shallow depth of field to focus extremely close to the top of the tree.

9. High Angle, College in 2020
Shot by facing down at my desk, rather than traditionally sitting at it.

10. Shadow, Dim Tree Shadow
Another glass tree, this time with its shadow on the wall.

11. Motion, Fireplace
Shot by using a 30-second shutter speed and zooming out while the shutter was open.

12. Colorful, Stack of Ramackins
Colorful bowls for a colorful photograph.
